Jen Coleman (who – sadly - doesn’t have a blog) talks about knowing her own eternal purpose. Her comments are in response to a post on clarity, where a group of commentators were talking about purpose. Jen updated her comments to be more specific about a recent experience she had.
I would be glad to share my experience. Before the [orchestra] meeting on Saturday, I had the great fortune of having a one on one meeting with Sensei.
I have been having some difficulties in my work life and have wondered if it was just the place where I am working or if it also meant that I needed to get out of my field (advertising). I talked to Sensei about the first part of this dilemma and without saying a word about the second he said, “There is a reason you are in advertising and I’m going to tell you why…”
My purpose in this lifetime is to learn to cut through the fat, filler, glitz of everything and get to THE POINT. Until I do this in my job, I cannot move on. Heck, until I do this in all aspects of my life, I cannot move on to the next lesson. I’ll be working on it lifetime after lifetime. After the session, I was invited to join the meeting. Through this meeting, I quickly realized that Sensei is giving me a chance, an opportunity to apply the principles I have learned and apply them through advertising. But it is advertising and promoting something of a higher value. I hope this helps!
As she mentioned, “Until I do this in all aspects of my life, I cannot move on to the next lesson.” Sensei teaches that if you want to make a change in the world, make it within your self first. He has many students who will promptly agree. It starts inside; it’s an inner journey.
Thanks, Jen, for sharing your eternal purpose and how you are applying it to your life and your world.

sanctioned by the other side

Sanctioning is like sponsorship. Anyone can go play softball, but it can be a whole different ballgame when you have a sponsor. Lance Armstrong had the U.S. Postal Service and then The Discovery Channel sponsoring his Tour de France triumphs.
Sanctioning means there is someone not only willing to officially sponsor you, but in many cases they will pull out the stops. Depending on your level of commitment, and the sponsor’s interests, sanctioned individuals can end up with a lot of power and pull in their corner. Here is a short take on the subject from my class notes:
As long as you are using principles, you are sanctioned by the Other Side. That is, unless, you are being selfish. Eternity works by passing through the most conductive people.
clarity

I was with a group of people last Saturday afternoon and evening. This group was told, in the clearest possible terms, what their eternal mission is here on earth. I wonder how many heard it, how many believed it, how many will act on it, and how many will accomplish it?
lucid dreaming

soul greets soul
Someone wants to be a lucid dreamer. Sensei says that if you want to do this, there is a pre-requisite: Awareness while you are awake.
“You want to wake up when you’re asleep? Then you have to be asleep when you’re awake.
“You need to first become lucid while you are awake, aware of the spot you go to when you become lucid while you are dreaming.”

Regarding a recent post on application
Stacey said, I don’t really know if I’m doing enough to get the message out there. I don’t know what I can blame it on. Shyness? Fear of rejection? Fear that they’ll look at me as though I’m crazy? I’m not sure.About the only thing I am doing right now is running a blog, but to how large of an audience does that get a message out to? Possibly only to those who think similarly. But how to get the message out to those who don’t?
Amadeus said, Great words my friend and definitely a challenge. Like Stacy, I question myself at how much I am doing of the eternal value. In politics, although there is a genuine sense of wanting to do good, there is a sense of it not being enough. It really doesn’t seem like something that is of eternal value Like you said we know the buzz words, jargon and vocab, but that is about it. I will have to think a little deeper about this and get back to you. Great post!
quiet giving

Isaiah has contributed some thoughtful, anonymous ways to give…
Here’s some ways I’ve found to give without others knowing.
**Use a stranger’s name when thanking them for a service. Simply expand your energy to want to know their name (because we are all in the same boat together, look at their name tag and thank them using their name for whatever they have done for you. Notice the reaction you will receive. This puts a smile on their faces every single time it is demonstrated.
**Pay someone’s toll. Pay for the car behind you. Pay for the next 10 cars behind you. Each one will think the person in front of them paid. Think of how many people you have ’cause’ed to move into higher energy levels.
**In the grocery store, leave your ‘value’able money- off coupons on the shelves right next to the items the coupon is for, for the next person to use.
**Leave a cashier’s check made out for any amount and a note stating the check is a random act of kindness and is to be used for whatever needs may arise with the Humane Society, your local food bank, or someone who is in need.
**Send a deli platter to your local fire department on a typical ordinary day.
** Send a bouquet of flowers to a retirement home.
**Donate new children’s books to the pediatric center of your local hospital or doctor’s office.
**Don’t tailgate the car in front of you…and use your turn signal.
**Refuse to participate in a conversation where another is being spoken ill of or where there is gossip about another involved.
**Pray, meditate, and direct energy where and when you can.
